I read somewhere that AADSAS does not send out transcripts. So we have to send official transcripts to every school by ourselves? Is this true?

Tinman, you are a bit misinformed, although the AADSAS does not send out your transcripts, they do verify them and that is enough for most schools.

I applied to 15 schools, and only U Detroit Dental School requires that you re-send the transcripts. The rest of my schools are ok with the verification of your grades.

The letters of rec can be sent to AADSAS any time, even after your application was sent out. The people at AADSAS will forward your letter. But because it takes them so damn long to send anything, I recommend sending the extra letter out yourself, directly to the school. Make sure that they are official and sealed.

So if you are applying to 10 schools, does that mean you need to ask your LOR writers for 10 copies each?

Although AADSAS does not send official transcripts to each school, I would not worry about sending transcripts to all the schools you applied to unless they specifically ask for it. So far, the only schools to ask me for transcripts are UMich, and UDM.

Go to "INSTRUCTIONS" in your AADSAS application and click on "DENTAL SCHOOL SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION" Treat what it says for each school like it is the bible.

Even on the required supplemental materials for UMICH and UDM, it does not state to send transcripts. Did anybody send them too:
