wait list - - question

I received a letter saying that I am on a waitlist....also said that if spots become available, I will be offered a spot for the 2012 fall program...

Do all wait list letters say this??? do all letters like this offer the hope that you will be accepted if spots open?

Yes. That is what a waitlist is. A totally maddening tease. But don't give up! It could work out!

Call the school and see if they will tell you where you are on the list and that will help you know your chances a little bit better. I was waitlisted last year and the school would not tell me where I stood It was torture.

I'm in your shoes. I got waitlisted at Pitt back in October. I'm praying that enough people turn down their acceptances so some spots open up for me

LOL.. Nope. It was the only school I applied to. Tried again this year (applied to 2 schools). Got straight up rejected from the school that waitlisted me the year before and got into the other school. I'm in my 3rd semester now and it's all good. 🙂

Keep your head up high. You'll get in somewhere.

Now with the average of each applicant applying to 10 DPT schools, there def still is a chance. With that being said spots are def freed up as students are getting into more than just one school. If the waiting game hasnt been brutal enough, getting a waitlist letter just adds on to the uncertainty. Hang in there and im sure good new will be arriving soon. best of luck!
