Sorry if this has been asked before. Does anyone who's interviewed (Particularly at SLU and Mizzou) how long it usually takes to hear back whether you'll be interviewed or rejected outright? I'd imagine it varies between schools, but I finished my first secondary on about 8/12 and have been going stir crazy since. Most interested in SLU and Mizzou at this point so input from students (or faculty) at those locations are of particular interest. Thanks in advance.

You were complete on 8/12 and are already going stir crazy? You have a long cycle ahead of you. I've been complete at one school since the middle of July and have watched people get status updates and interviews like crazy, while I sit here and hear nothing.

Some schools won't reject you until January, or even March.

just wait, SLU haven't send out any interviews or rejections yet. Also, I've been complete at about 20 schools for over a month without a interview from them. You gota wait

Mizzou is still not done with their EDP and straight to med school programs. You won't hear from them til Sept?

As for SLU, like the poster above said, they havent send out interview invites yet. Oh...from what I hear, SLU is pretty number driven. If your just an avg applicant with a gpa is below a 3.7 or verbal below a 10, you prob. wont hear back from them til Jan. or Feb.

Good luck!

Thank you so much guys and/or ladies. It is actually kind of encouraging to hear SLU is number driven. My GPA undergrad was 3.93 and my scores were 10/11/11 (bio/p. sci/verbal). Hopefully that'll get me in the door.

The reason I'm on edge is b/c last year was sort of a cluster you-know-what. I hadn't taken any physics at all by MCAT time, so my p. sci score was an eight. Plus a lot of financial stuff went down at home and I had just started my ER job, so I had little to no money for apps. but didn't qualify for waivers. As a consequence, my apps all went in at the very last possible moment (SLU and Wash U.). I didn't hear from SLU until their last day. Of course I heard from Wash U right away (buzz off, in so many words).

Anyway, thanks for the info, and good luck to any other applicants out there.
