Hey everyone,

I know that for the AMCAS cycle, other MD schools can see which schools students hold acceptances from after April 30th. I was wondering if anyone knew about a similar process with AACOMAS and if DO schools are able to see which acceptances I am holding. I am so lucky to have gotten an acceptance into a med school at all but I am close to the top of the wait list for another DO school I would love to attend (closer to home) but I am afraid that they might not consider me eligible if I already have put down an acceptance at another school.

I've also sent a Letter of Intent to the school at which I'm watilisted.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Wait a minute, do programs consider students ineligible to be moved off the waitlist if they're already holding an acceptance/put down a deposit at another school? if so, oy vey...

DO schools never see where you are holding accepts. I think the same is now true in the MD world.

Yea, the only thing you lose out on by waiting is deposit money.

"After May 15, AACOMAS reports to each institution the names and candidates for its entering class who hold an acceptance(s) at additional institutions. An osteopathic medical college may rescind an offer of admissions to a candidate who has paid deposits to or holds positions at multiple institutions. "

Oh man, you're right about that. That definitely seems fair to those that are waiting but I am losing hope getting into my top pick school by May 15th. Really hoping for some waitlist movement soon as MD schools will have that visibility April 30th
