Ok, so my aadsas went out in early november. I applied to 13 schools. I decided to withdraw from Meharry. That leaves 12. I got interviews at BU, UMKC, Case and Temple. That leaves 8. I got rejected from Iowa. That leaves 7. Some of these remaining schools sent me information saying that they had received all of my stuff etc. However, none of these schools have given me any more word.

My question is: Should I contact these schools or just assume that I was rejected?

These are the schools: Columbia, Creighton, Harvard, NYU, Tufts, UPenn.

I know Creighton doesn't give interviews, but I overnighted my secondary application to them before December 1st and nothing has changed.

I assume they have given all of their interivews, but I am not sure.

I would appreciate any help.

Perpetually clueless,
Jessica

Don't give up. No news is good news. I wouldn't discount any school until you have a rejection in your hands. Cheer up, it's Christmas. 🙂

Yup. Had a bunch of windows open and posted the wrong thing in the wrong thread. Switched 'em around though. 🙂

no worries. thanks. i appreciate your intellectual insight (although I tend to not agree). 🙂 by the way, where are do you go to school?

I dont see what harm could come from contacting them. Maybe they lost some of your stuff. Just call them up or email them and ask for the status of your application. I dont see why people are so hesitant about calling schools, I think I called all my schools at least once and everyone treated me great and answered my questions.

You can send them an update on research or activities (if you've gained extra dental experience) so they know you are still interested. Or call them to make sure your application is complete or check on the status of your application. They are usually very nice about it.

Good luck!

I just think it takes some schools longer to review files & get back to you. Considering the application was sent out in November, it hasn't even been 2 months yet. So, I'm sure you'll hear from them soon. But if you can't wait, take Arn's advice and call them & ask about the status of your application.

I would definitely call the schools you have not heard from...I sent in my aadsas in september and decided to "give the schools time" before I called to check on status...turns out my letters of rec had mysteriously not made it to several schools (even though I had paid extra money and sent them to individual schools). Other schools lost my app fee/picture, etc. so it can't hurt to call and make sure everything is there.
