Am I the only one seriously disturbed by spongebob peeking into the pool room from behind the door.

@MSUcvmHOPE’s drawing is my favorite, 10/10, for literally all the reasons. The highlight being that I saw spongebob last and just lost it.

however this detail came in a close second because I snorted as soon as I saw it

LIS is holding a cat (obviously) and SOV has a plane!

Is given this wordplay by @ThoracicGuy :

"The bear and five sunbathing *******...ahem... kitties ate thin crust pizza."
Thin crusted? I'm guessing you are not an East Coaster. That is just pizza🤣

I made a progression chart: Spring TP - Progession
I love you for doing this. 😍

TP has been a thing here for...15? years (I'm not old, you're old), and what I'm seeing with the old games is that people just threw the images on tinypic or photobucket or Yahoo Images or any random site, and those hilarious masterpieces go *poof* over time. So in the event we do find an old TP thread, it's missing pics and otherwise a pain to go through. I tried saving some of the old threads I think and they're on an old hard drive that I can't find?

I'm seeing hella organization with Werewolf threads here. There's a "Celebrating 8 Years of WW" thread with a huge list of all the games linked to the thread, so people can easily find them.

I propose doing something similar for TP:

  1. Problem: Hard to find old TP threads.
Solution: 1) Create master index thread; 2) Use the forum's "tag" and maybe put a tag like "Telephone Pictionary" or something in every thread as an alternate way of finding the old threads.
  2. Problem: Pictures disappear, and it's sad. Also it's tedious scrolling through a thread.
Solution: Bug SDN to host the pictures officially Create a PDF that has all the pics and sentences in one file. Save that file somewhere....forever.
  3. Problem: Many historical TP games were highly unprofessional with many obscene images and sentences that by today's ToS would get deleted.
Solution: Change the ToS Host the old stuff off SDN?
  4. Problem: Most of SDN has higher standards of professionalism than Lounge, so there's a mix of PG games in say Pre-Vet and ...delicious games in Lounge.
Solution: Host the master TP thread in the Lounge but include links to threads hosted elsewhere like Pre-Vet.

Honestly there's been way less TP games than WW games so should be less tedious to hunt down.

I am sooo sorry Miranda. But, that is what it looked like...all the vetties were there, having a party!

🤣 Just caught up and this made my day!!! I love how both groups took completely different routes. One turned in an eventual pool party while the other moved towards thievery and bandits and turned into a campfire scene

I DID MY PART. I stood in a group and someone counted me. It took 2 hours.
Did anyone try to convince you to stand somewhere else? Is there a lot of discussion or do most people know where they want to stand at the beginning? Has that changed over the years?

Yes, talking to your neighbors is the whole point, so people definitely try to convince each other to move to a new group.
So there were new rules this year that I didn’t like: if your candidate was viable (had at least 15%) after the first alignment, you couldn’t switch. And there were only two alignment phases instead of as many as we needed to reach an agreement. So there was less discussion, but the whole thing took just as long somehow. The new rules were supposed to shorten total time.

Fascinating
Did you call out for a VOTECOUNT NOW at any point?
If not, a real missed opportunity

That seems like it totally goes against the whole idea of caucasing. You should be able to persuade and switch as much as you want. Not that I advocate waffling for waffles' sake (except in WW...has anyone ever written a WWaffle game?), but in these early pre-election days people should be able to change their minds without being limited by a stupid arbitrary "viability" rule. Discussion is the whole point!!!

I concur with the general opinion that splitting this in 2 made it even better. Innovation....you never know how it comes. We should never go back to the old method.

Thanks Lupin.

also, I like stroganoff’s idea of a pdf for posterity. As for the index. Ugh. The WW one was a pain after the beginning, I couldn’t even imagine doing this...then again, I used to have tons of time,,,, now not so much.

I don’t understand caucusing.
I also don’t even understand voting at a poll. I thought this was like a fictional thing for an embarrassingly long amount of time.
All voting in Oregon is done by mail. No human interaction required

They pump their own gas like normal humans now, I'm pretty sure.
Nope lol.
A bill passed allowing it in certain rural counties during off hours or something. But I’ve never pumped my own gas in Oregon so I don’t know the specifics of it. It’s not a widespread allowance

When I caucused in 2016 there was a girl who was extremely upset her candidate wasn’t viable so she started yelling and demanded that everyone cast a paper vote too and that as a rule they had to allow it and they told her they didn’t have paper so she started ripping pieces of paper out of a notebook. Made the whole thing take waaaay longer.
