I'm a new fourth year student. Just recently I took an elective in gas and while I thought it was interesting, I'm not sure it's what I want to do w/ the rest of my life. In fact I'm rather undecided about every field in medicine.

Any thoughts out there as to the feasibility/problems associated with doing a PG1 transitional year and then, as an intern, applying to gas? So in this way, I'll have some more time to decide what it is I really want to do.

Would this tack help or hinder me in getting a position in gas?

And, will doing a transition year be a waste of time, if in the end I decide to do another field completely?

Please help.😕
