Waitlist and academic update

Hello everyone! Happy New Years to you all! I just had a question for anyone that may know/have a clue about this area of our app.

So, I got waitlisted at my top choice 🙁 and they rank their waitlist based on GPA/DAT/interview scores. So my question is, if my GPA is higher, after my academic update than the GPA I was waitlisted with, would they look at my new GPA or my old? And would that affect my place on the waitlist?

I would assume they would look at your new gpa. Btw, do you have any acceptance? If you do I wouldnt even stress it.

I believe they will look at your updated gpa and will check if u have taken required pre-requisite classes.
question:
my school will be sending out my transcript next week as my classes ended late in december. so the standard shipping time plus AADSAS processing and mail out to school time will take 2 more weeks. Do dental schools wait for the academic update from majority of students before they send out second round of acceptance? or would they send acceptance on the scheduled day that they have decided?

I think it depends on the school and/or their current pool of applicants.
