Waitlist Interview?

Hey just looking for some opinions. I got a voicemail on Friday letting me know that I got off the waitlist at a program in my top 3. I didn't get service in the hospital I was working at when they called and didn't get the voicemail until last night. I called both PC's office phones and sent them both emails. Of course they have not gotten back to me, most likely not coming into the office or checking their emails until tomorrow. The drive would be about three hours. I have an interview on Tuesday in the area so I got Monday off to travel. I called the hotel that they reserve for their interviewers and I was not on the list. I can get the interview day details and location from their website and from an email they sent me notifying me that I was on their wait list. Program is in my top three and could end up in my top two depending on the interview day. They do have one more interview day on Wednesday that I could possibly make it to if they tell me tomorrow that I can't come Monday. I have no idea if they have given my spot away yet. Question is, do I just make hotel reservations at a different hotel and show up tomorrow morning? I am leaning toward doing this even though my gut says it would be awkward if they say sorry no interview. I guess if I don't go I can't rank them and if I go and they say no interview I am in the same boat. What do you think I should do? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks

I would not just show up tomorrow hoping to interview. I think that would be weird and awkward. Just give them a call tomorrow morning and try to interview on weds.

Thanks, yeah I almost left this afternoon, but I went with my gut. I actually found out the voicemail was left on Thursday, so I felt like they definitely probably found another applicant to fill the spot. I think it would be awkward and weird to show up especially if they found someone else. Its hard to swallow right now, but I have no one else to blame but myself. Hopefully the PC gets back to me tomorrow with good news about Wednesday, if not it was just not meant to be. I would have thought they would have also sent an email through ERAS or just an email as a backup, but I guess that is not always the case. I have 11 other ranks so I should match, but this program would have been nice to check out and rank.
