I was waitlisted for three schools and got accepted at one this week. Out of the three it was the one that I least wanted to attend and would really like the chance to wait it out for the other two--how soon do I have to make a decision since its already past the May 15 deadline? Does anyone know a little more about waitlist policies?

Accept the offer. Then if you get off another waitlist, you have the option of withdrawing from the first and accepting the new one.

+1, that makes the most sense. It's not like if you accept the offer, you'll be removed from the waitlist, so just accept one, hold on to it and wait it out.

In Canada..Ontario schools remove you from waitlist if you accept a school. Sucks eh?

And congratulations on your acceptance, by the way. No small feat!
