Waitlist UT Austin

I heard that it's rare to get in from a waitlist, since most people will drop everything to move to Austin even at the last minute. But at least it's nice to know that you are not rejected.
So how many of you are waitlisted out there??

You guys have any back up schools?
UT is the only school I've applied for practical reasons. Otherwise, I would remove myself from the waitlist and set my mind on going to my second choice.

Depending on your rank on the waitlist. If you are number 99 on a hundred, then the chances are zilch.

My colleague got an official letter of rejection but she didn't even get an interview yet.

Have you gotten an official letter in the mail for the waitlist?
Dr. Wilcox mentioned about getting an official letter, but I still haven't receieved such in the mail.

I havent recieved a letter either. Plus I never got an email letting me know where I stand on the waitlist. I did get intp Texas Southern and already got an apt. I start in July and am wondering if I should remove myself.

If you are comitted to go to Texas South, then you should remove yourself from the list.
I didn't know they start so early!
