Ok… So I noticed over the past few months a lot of people have been placed on some type of waitlist/alternate list, and a few of you guys have been accepted off of those list. Here is my dilemma, the school I applied to normally accepts 24 applicants every year. They have filled all of their seats, and they have a small alternate list of 15 applicants. So I am 1 of 15 students on this list. The only issue is, I’m not sure where I am on it. I called the admissions office and they said they can’t determine that at this time. I talked with the admissions office and they said students usually decline later on in the summer (class starts in August), and I may have a chance to grab a seat in the incoming class. Here is my question. Can anyone that has been invited off of a waitlist shine any information on something that may help my odds? Or do I have to stick it out and hope things work in my favor.

STICK IT OUT. Trust me, I got off mine with less than a month before school starting.

Awesome! It is just miserable playing the waiting game. I've heard stories of students getting an invite 2-3 days before class. I'm just hoping they give me at least a month or so in advance lol.

I sent an email saying thanks for the interview ... this is my number 1 school...if accepted I will attend 100% etc. But that was as soon as I knew I was on the waitlist

Well that didn't take too long, did it? Amazing how fast some schools go down their waitlist in the early days of summer.

Not at all! Now I am just nervous about applying to the Graduate program. I'm not sure what to expect.
