I was put on a waitlist for 2 schools (applied late last cycle). I am planning to apply early this year...including to the schools that I am currently waitlisted for. I was wondering IF/how the adcom sees that you are reapplying and how they view it: (whether its good that you have continued interest in the school OR negatively in that you have given up on being accepted this cycle and have moved on)

Of course, I would love to be accepted off the waitlist but I dont want to be in the same situation of applying late for the next cycle. Either way- my app wont be complete until july bc I am planning to retake the mcat anyway.

Advice? Opinions?

I think it is looked at as positive. I would start planning like you will not get in off the waitlist. It has been my experience that waitlists don't move much. It will cost you some money to reapply but I think that will just be the cost of doing business. Get your applications out early.

Don't wait on your primary application. Fill it out as soon as it opens. There is a place (on the AACOMAS app) to designate the date you will be retaking the MCAT, so theschools will be aware of that. Waiting for an MCAT score is not necessary.
