Hi guys, I was wondering what are the odds of me getting into a school if I was on the waitlist? Anyone knows how they choose waitlist?

I am currently waitlisting for NOVA and SCO. Is it true that if I am a Texas resident, it is much more likely I will be accepted into UHCO?

When I interviewed at SCO, I remember them saying they had a ranked waitlist, and usually at least the top 10 on the list get in. I don't know if you contact them if they will tell you where you are on their list, but they might.

No idea about UHCO though.

I think that is true becuase they have more in state seats. It saids how many applied then were accepted last year on this link.

I have always had the impression that UHCO prefers Texas residents, but they have told me a couple of times that every applicant has the same chance of getting in regardless of where they come from.

If you applied to more than one or two schools and you are waitlisted on 2 or 3 of them, feel hopeful. 👍 Right now optometry program are filling their class fast (in the month of May). You and many should hear very soon regarding accept or rejection. Best of luck to you all. I have been accepted to 5 schools for fall 2005. If any have questions, let me know.

Is being waitlisted the same as being put on hold? I am currently a hold student at NOVA after being sent a provisional accpetance. What are my chances at NOVA if anyone has any idea. I recently called and spoke to Fran's secretary and she said they have approximately 30 seats open. Please write me back your opinions. Thanxs 🙂
