I was just curious to know WHAT DOES WAITLIST REALLY MEANS in terms of interview reaction?

means that your app wasn't good enough to get in right away but good enough to stay around until they see how the incoming class forms, then they come back to you.

Yeah... pretty much you are standing in line right now. A line of people who are good but not good enough to be a definite "yes." As people turn down offers, or don't pay tuition, or drop the whole thing more spots will open up where those definite "yes" people were, and you and whoever else is on the waitlist will be notified that a spot has opened up.

I know a few people who received notification of a new spot 2 weeks before the semester started.
