Things are definately not going my way. I was invited for a total of four interviews, I've attended 3 of them so far. LECOM Erie waitlisted me, LECOM Bradenton put me on hold for 30 days(??), and I found out today that Touro Nevada waitlisted me also. I only have one interview left and that's at Touro California. Talk about being stuck in limbo. I'm going to do all I can to tilt the scales in my favor but I'm figuring I better start looking into grad programs because it's pretty likely I'm not going to get admissions into a med school.

Keep up hope man. At least you didnt get flat out rejected from any of those schools. Thats more than I can say for alot of people. But Im not going to just blow smoke up your @ss though. I hope you get in somewhere, but it might be in your favor to look into grad programs that can better prepare you for med school. I know I did my fair share of grad school research last year, but things worked out.

If you dont mind me asking, what are your stats like? Grad school might be just what you need to boost your application over that waitlist or hold mark that you seem to be at now.

Best of luck to you though, I hope everything goes well.

Do not worry, LECOM - B will take you I have a good feeling, I know of a person who will send their letter declining acceptance within the next couple of days.

The best advice I can give you is to RELAX. At an interview the commitee just wants to see what kind of person you are. If you have been rejected from 3 interviews, then there is some kind of pattern. Try to think back over your 3 interviews and see if you reconize some kind of pattern. Just try to be personable, man. Smile alot and tell them how much you love their school. Most importantly NEVER let them on that you are nervous. That is the snake bite of DO schools.

In my honest opinion, even though I have only interviewed at one school so far, I think you have a good chance getting into school. Being waitlisted at three schools means that you do have the qualities they are looking for, just lacking in one department (maybe grades, one mcat section below an 8?). Regardless, try to get some feedback on your interviewing skills at the schools you have already interviewed at before you go to california. Maybe one of your answers is just taboo at the interview, like saying..."I want to be an osteopathic doctor because of the hollistic philosophy". That will make the committee turn their heads the opposite way.
Good luck and I am putting money down that you are going to get in.
What is your state of residency?

Yea, Whats up with the 30 day hold from bradenton? I got a letter today saying the same thing. I mean whats going to change in 30 days? Its such a tease... i know that i'll be praying for 30days straight though. Good luck to you. What a miserable process.....
