Waitlisted- Grade update with an A and withdrawal?

I want to update my waitlists with my grades from last semester. I got an A in a science class and a W from Spanish (I withdrew). Would this help my case or would it have a negative effect on my chances of getting off the waitlist?

Two classes- one A and one Withdrawal (I am in my gap year took classes at community college)

I would send an update/ letter of interest mentioning the A grade, but conveniently omitting the W. You dont need to send a transcript until youre accepted.

Only two grades and one was a Withdraw is not the best thing for them to see...I wouldn't send an update about just doing well in a single class
