Waitlisted Reapplicant with Some Options..What to do next?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
When did you apply last cycle? Do you have a DO letter? You're not too old though and there's really no point in stressing yourself out with "I gotta do this now". The advice you received about this is legit.

It sounds like you might benefit from some interview training or mock interview type stuff considering you landed 4 II. I do not recommend attending a foreign school if you want to practice in the US. You have plenty of options and I'm sure someone much wiser than me will come along with some guidance.

I'm definitely not wiser than FutureDOC haha. One of the smartest premed students I knew went to UQO though and seemed to love it. Just my 2 cents. They rotate their entire 3rd and 4th year in the US right? Have their own hospitals in NOLA right? Con is that I heard it's hella expensive and you're an IMG?

I know what it feels like to feel rushed, but I also don't think you need the masters since you already have one with a 3.9? All Touro's would do is guarantee you an interview at their campus (which you already got?). 3 waitlists (do you know where you're ranked on them?) and I'd say you'd have a solid shot at getting off at least one of them?

When does UQO start? Is there a way you can deposit and maybe wait til the end of this cycle to see if you get pulled off the WL at a DO school? If not... well you'll have to make the decision yourself, there are a lot of factors and I don't know that much about UQO. But I would assume that it's not like a Caribbean school, they have admission stats comparable to some DO/MD med schools (3.4/29) and a 93% match rate in the US last year (I'm sure you've seen the match list, it looks pretty comparable to what I'd imagine most DO schools look like) so personally if you don't want to wait another year of this grinding cycle I'd take that acceptance and attend?

And yeah when did you apply?

If I were in your position and I didn't get pulled off WL after this year even after your interview prep, I would personally attend UQO instead of the masters. Bird in the hand worth 2 in the bush sort of thing.

In regards to UQ-O,
Pros:
-MD
-Live in spectacular cities in Australia
-Good clinical arrangement with Ochsner
-Good residency chances with Ochsner system
-Cool rural and wilderness health opportunities

Cons:
-Mind bogglingly expensive
-Still an IMG so residency chances outside of Ochsner low, and they only accept a handful

Could go either way:
-Ochsner is in southeast Louisiana
-Live away from friends/family on the other side of the world

These are just a few things off the top of my head
