So I have been waitlisted since December. I was second on the waitlist (there are ~25 now) and the class is currently "full." I've heard from current students that there tends to be a lot of movement from the list though so I'm considering sending in another LOR. I did a letter of intent in December and spoke to the Dean in April-she said to definitley keep in contact if I'm interested. What is the consensus on sending in another really good LOR?

If so, I have two options: One from a DO (already have a DO letter) or one from a MD who is the ER director and would probably write a better letter.

Obviously the stronger letter should be sent.

I would write another LOI (or update letter) rather than a LOR (unless the physician has a tie to the school). The DOA said keep in touch if your interested and you should do just that.

It might be helpful to write another letter of interest and send in as many LOR's that you feel are needed. I did the same thing (sent in a LOI and extra LOR) and the director of admissions told me it boosted me up on the list. Good Luck!

best wishes; patience is a virtue, and always keep believing because one of my close friends got called the day before the DO school started to start the next day and it's down to the last day in August for some schools!

We had MULTIPLE students join our class a week after class had started last year...so there is still hope! Send that LOI!
