Hi everyone! I've been doing some research on GPR programs, but didn't find a lot on Wake Forest Baptist Hospital's GPR program. I know it's 24 months, but couldn't find more than that. Does anyone have any details on the program?

Thanks in advance!

Hi, I interviewed there just this past year. Two year program of true hospital dentistry. Very nice faculty, not sure how many residents they took this year because the program director said likely only one this year. They do a ton of extractions. seemed like most of their residents wanted to do OMFS some got in some didn’t. During the interview one of the residents asked me “when we all go out to drink, what drink are you ordering?” Lol, not my cup of tea type of program as they promised “10+ crowns” over the two years with limited other procedures other than tons of extractions so I didn’t include it in my match list but everyone was very nice nonetheless and it’s in a very cute town.

All very accurate. True hospital dentistry - patients with chromosomal abnormalities, autism, behavioral disorders that have to be treated in the OR; VERY limited crown and bridge or prosthetic experience; no implant or periodontal surgery; lots of extractions, pre-radiation and routine; decent IV sedation experience; will not be taking call any longer starting July 1 because the program is decreasing in size due to budget cuts, so hours will be very friendly.
Worth applying but would rank at your own risk. Moving forward the foundations of the program are very unstable.
