Applying to Wake Forest University School of Medicine
Wake Forest University School of Medicine is working with AMCAS to
receive applications via an electronic data utility. There have been
problems and delays in using this utility in our normal application
process, which relies on the electronic exchange of information. We have
chosen to wait for the electronic data transfer of verified applications
to ensure the accuracy of our applications.
We have received notification that there are over 3000 applicants
applying to our school, but we have been able to access about 1000
verified applications so far. When the electronic verified application
is received, we send notification by a green post card. Applications are
screened and status information follows. Secondary applications are sent
selectively and are on line this year.
As a result, we have adjusted our interview schedule to accommodate for
the delay.
We are certain that the process will eventually be successful, just a
bit later than usual. If we can answer specific questions or concerns,
please contact us. We appreciate your patience with AMCAS and your
interest in Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
Sincerely,
Lewis H. Nelson III, M.D.
