anyone is working at wal mart as an intern? how's that?
what about the wage?
why do you choose over other retail chains?

thanks !!!😍

I start my first day there tomorrow. I'm just a lowly P1, so I assume I won't be doing anything all too interesting. But I'll let you know how it goes.

lol @ getting paid for it. In an ideal world...

$13 to start in the New England area. From what the pharmacists tell me its not the greatest company to work for. They only start you off with 1 week vacation. There are other issues I won't get into also.

I'm currently a P1 but before I got into pharmacy school, I was a pharm-tech at Wal-Mart. Compared to other retail pharmacies, I truly believe that Walmart and Walgreens are the best companies to work for, and other pharmacists have told me this. From talking with other pharmacists, it just seems that walmart and walgreens have the best systems. With that being said, I attended an internship fair at my school and asked wal-mart what i would be doing as an intern and also mentioned the fact that I DID NOT want to do any pharm tech tasks. They told me that I would be doing SOME tech tasks along with some monitored counseling. Having been employed by walmart as a pharm tech, I'm pretty sure they'll make you do tech tasks such as input, filling and troubleshoot; but then again, it all depends on your preceptor.

As a pharmacist working for Wal-Mart I can vouch that they have a great computer system. As for doing "tech" tasks, well, you never truly stop doing those (even as a pharmacist). I still input, fill, and def. work troubleshoot. It's a team approach and although most of these tasks are done by techs, it does become crucial that they get done when busy. I let my interns do almost everything I do, but again if will depend on my comfort level with each particular intern.

why do you work for wal mart? what is unique over other retail pharmacies?
what strength do we need to work for?😍

don't know if you've worked elsewhere but the "F6" key is God, isn't it? 😉 All I have to say is if you don't know anything, the F6 key is your friend for life. That's all.

Conexxus is the best!

Ive been a tech for over year and is fighting with the DM of my area to have him change my status to an intern (im a p1)...

I 'shadowed' at CVS and Rite-Aid and I can tell you...Wal-Mart's system is the most user friendly ever!!!
