Walgreens overtime

At least your market makes it worth it. For us, its normal rate plus 5$ an hour!
I didn’t know you could get paid overtime. Are you not salary?
Wags floaters are hourly.I didn’t know you could get paid overtime. Are you not salary?
What job that pays hourly does not pay at least 1.5x for overtime? I've never even heard of 1.1x and it seems against the law anyways (unless you are exempt obvoiusly).
"Unless exempt, employees covered by the Act must receive overtime pay for hours worked over 40 in a workweek at a rate not less than time and one-half their regular rates of pay."

My market does hourly plus 5$ for OT. Barely 1.09 times hourly. Not worth it.

My current job does plus 0 for OT. Talk about not worth it.
California law is 1.5x for pretty much every hourly worker (pharmacists included) after 8hrs (unless you are 4 x 10hrs). It becomes 2x at the 12 hour mark.
I’ve never seen 1.1x though, but I more commonly see pharmacists classed as salaried workers instead outside of CA.

I think the 1.1x is just someone doing the math. More likely it is premium pay of base + 5 dollars or whatever.

Correct
I’ve been scheduled for 45 hours each week and sometimes I’m even on the schedule for 49 hrs. On top of that, yesterday the store manager asked me to stay one hour late after we closed to get ready for the inventory and I had to come in 2 hrs before my scheduled time to watch them do inventories. Is it because I’m cheap that I’m getting a ton of hours? Not that I have a problem with it, but would it save them money to just offer me a salaried position?

Probably not because they may plan to scale your hours back later
That's so cool. Except I would die if I was 5 x8s on evening shift
Yeah we call that the new grad/no kids shift [emoji23]
