Walgreens start rotate their RXMs between stores, anyone knows what’s the catch ?

This happens all the time. at one point I had 3 store managers in a four year span.

You mean like constant PIC transfers from store to store for no apparent reason, but just for the heck of it?

So the PIC manages the store and the store manager manages the pharmacy? Sounds fun.

I am sorry , I should say they rotate their store managers between stores , apparently this is not new ... they rotate SM and ASM every a few years ... but they also started rotate their RXMs between stores this year, I thought this is something new! Some of RXMs worked in their stores for a very Long time...never moved, I wondered if this is some kind of new strategies for Walgreens ?

Sometimes RXmanagers get too comfortable at their stores once they've been there for a long time and start acting like company policy does not apply to them. I know that my technicians, for example, would act one way at my store. Then, I would run into them when floating at another store and I would be in awe watching them follow SOP and every company policy to the T. At one point, I almost asked the market manager if he would consider having the techs rotate periodically through the stores in the area. I ended up saving my breath there.

When I was worked retail, certain customers would complain when they saw new faces... I guess it could be beneficial in some circumstances

This is dumb (except in my case where I would be guaranteed to move to an easier store).

One less reason to take a PIC position.

Unfortunately, PICs were “randomly” picked and moving to a new store , not upon their choices, I know a PIC has very bad reputation in the area , no one wants to work with, this PIC did not get moved... what’s the point !

Are they being moved to stores with different store volumes? Maybe the goal is to move good PICs to bad stores or higher volume stores? It is certainly more of a hassle rotating PICs (because of the state paperwor) than in rotating store managers, I would be surprised that Walgreens is doing this just "randomly."
