Walgreens Transfer?

What’s the procedure for changing jobs to another Walgreens store, say out of state? Would you just apply to the online listing like normal or is there a special procedure to transfer as an existing employee?

What I’ve been told is you reach out to the DM of the area you’re interested in. Obviously get the blessing of your current DM before doing this lol

Ask your DM first. If they are nice about it, they might even contact the new area for you. Otherwise you have to find the other DM's contact info on your own by calling stores and asking.

It's been a while since I worked for Walgreeens, but when I did I asked for a transfer (they didn't have one at the time but I did see the process). I would definitely start with your current DM; for one, they might happen to know the DM in the area you want to transfer and could give you a good word. Also, you don't want it to look like you're going behind their back. Then, I'd reach out to the DM in the new area and see what they have/if they can keep you in mind for openings.
