I've applied to numerous Walmart pharmacist openings (online) all over Texas but never seem to get any sort of interview from them. I graduated from pharmacy school June 2014. Worked for CVS from June to October and worked for an small hospital from October to December. Does Walmart not hire anyone with less than 1 to 2 years of experience? I even applied to some of their remote locations but still no response. How can i reach out to the district manager for an interview? Thank you.

I applied when I was doing my last rotation and got a call that same day and ended up accepting an offer 22 hours away from home in the Midwest. I had no retail work experience. I applied for graduate intern positions though.

From what I hear, they do not like to hire from other companies. I also heard they do not like to hire new grads, so I surmise that one may need some networking skills. But what do I know, I don't work for Walmart :/

I know quite a few people who left CVS and went to WAL-MART so I doubt that rumor is true.

All of the Walmart interns in my class got offers. I don't know of anyone that was not an intern getting a job offer from them but most people were not looking at Walmart as an option. Most people in my class who went for retail wanted either Walgreens, CVS, or a local grocery store chain. I would find out the District Manager's email address and shoot them an email to let them know you are interested and serious about this

Oh well, I worked for CVS for 5 years and got hired with Wal-mart as soon as I applied. I live in Texas by the way. My experience is, I got the DM's phone and email, tried to contact them with no response. Then I applied online, the DM called me, got the offer after the call. It took about one month after I applied.

I called the stores that had openings and asked for their DM's phone. Called the DM and he looked me up in the applicants and asked when I could come in for an interview. After interviewing, I was offered a grad intern position with the intention of coming on as a pharmacist in future. I would just cold call. It really helped me. It's been sometime so you probably already found a job though 🙂.

I got a recruiter postcard in the mail. I applied and got nothing. I emailed the recruiter and he emails a generic reply. I then received a walmart email asking me to take a tactical leadership test. I think I failed it because I never heard back after that.

For the walmart pharmacist. How long did it take to hear back after interview?

If you are hired, it's usually very fast (one week at most). If not you probably won't hear back. If there is an opening they are usually desperate to hire
