Well, I don't work at Walmart but I do work at Target, and we are matching the $4 program.

I am not sure how many times I have been asked if Lipitor is on it, and when will it be. I told them that the patent runs out in 2011 so try back about 2020 and the price should go down far enough....

Well Zocor is generic why isn't it on the list?? Well it costs US about 70-90 dollars for 30 pills, do you expect me to sell it for $4? Have you ever ran a business.

Granted there are some meds on the list that we do end up losing money on, but if you know anything about the insides of discounter pharmacy, it is not all about making money 🙂

Lamisil and cialis are on the list?? funny cause neither are generic and both are expensive. Maybe it was lisinopril and captopril

Cost for a 30 day supply of metformin 500mg, 1 BID is about $2.20. Every drug on Wal-Mart's $4 price list is dirt cheap. The only fall-out is for the poor Pharmacists who work for Wal-Mart. They are the ones left to deal with all the idiots who come in a want all there RX's for $4.00 each. All I see is problems for them.

As a competitor we already price match Wal-Mart and Sam's Club. Funny thing is all we ever price match is controlled substances. All contolled substances were notably absent from Wal-Mart's list.

I posted this on another thread. That is exactly what I thought would happen. Always remember....People are stupid.

I'm sure all wal-mart people are getting the brunt of this. (and i don't feel the least bit sorry for you)

However, I think all companies in retail are getting the same comments you share. I had about 7 questions on it today, like I freaking know what's on their list or not. The funny ones are the one that get in a huff when I say we do not match the 4 dollar price list. "OMG How could you not?? You're just going to lose people by not matching it..." yeah keep going. If you want to deal with wal-mart's bullsh** go ahead and drive 20 minutes over there and get your rx filled OR I can fill it for you in 15 minutes or less on your insurance and charge $4.15 for it.

There needs to be laws against stupidity....
