Do I have a solid shot or should I add more schools? Thank you to anyone who reads this!
"southern state" is too broad, please specify

how did you come up with this list?

I’d really rather not say for privacy reasons but it is in the Southeast and it only has 1 in-state school. Average stats for it are 21 DAT, 3.6 cgpa, and 3.5 sgpa.

I don’t have any out of state ties, so I came up with this list by searching for private schools in locations I would like to live, and narrowing it down to schools that I was within .1-.3 of their average gpa’s. I also looked to make sure I was within 1 point of their average DAT. Then I looked to see if they had taken any students from my state within the past 10 years, and I kept the schools that had, plus 1 or 2 that hadn’t. I think I did a pretty good job, but I just want to make sure I’m casting a good net while it’s still early in the cycle so I can add more schools if I need to.
no one will be able to figure out who you are, nor will anyone who can do anything with this info care enough to spend the effort

you need to have mission fit to get invites and acceptances

12 schools is not too bad for your stats since you limited your reach schools and only have 2 publics outside of your state school (although you have already previously been told that colorado does not make sense)
i would feel more comfortable if your list were more concentrated on the SE and added one or two more schools since your dat is just at or above matriculant average (20.5) and sGPA is below matriculant average (3.55)...

OP: you are better served applying to other public schools close to your home state, but most other Southern publics have average GPA's higher than what you listed is the average (21 DAT, 3.6/3.5), so I'm not sure if the program I'm thinking about is the one.

Have you done any networking with the schools outside your state before applying? There was a virtual recruitment fair a few weeks ago and the in-person recruitment fair in March. Have you gone to any visit days or attended virtual tours?

Your dental clinical experience seems light compared to other applicants. It would also be nice to know the extent of your community service with and independent of your sorority membership.

Look at the DSE entries to see if the schools on your list have accepted at least 1 individual from your state (since you won't give us that information). Consider the patient populations you will likely serve in dental clinics at each program, knowing most will likely be on limited incomes or means. I see nothing that indicates you are comfortable working with people in those communities on a committed basis.

School list:
Can you handle 3 years of relatively continuous schooling, as offered by Roseman?

Mission fit
