Other Schools I have Considered: Georgia, Harvard, Meharry, LECOM, Nova, Howard

I based my school list on location and money. Do you think I am applying to enough schools or should I apply to more? I don't want to waste money on excessive applications, but also want to make sure I am giving myself a good chance. My top priority in a school right now is clinical readiness/preparedness. I'm not very interested in research. Any opinions on official list and/or the schools I am more on the fence about would be greatly appreciated.

what is the SEP program?

I was holding back to get a little more information. Geographically, your list within and around NC makes sense: UNC, ECU, MUSC, VCU. I also hope your connections with SAID and SEP also have influenced your list.

Are you a registered tribe member? How important is your Native American identity to your purpose as a dentist?

Of roughly 12K AADSAS applicants, there are fewer than 100 Native American applicants (not counting any mixed race identities) to dental school every year. (According to one article, in 2018, only 23 Native Americans got a dental school acceptance.)

With your metrics, you are a unicorn and should have attention from the four schools noted above. (UNC, MUSC, and VCU didn't enroll an American Indian/Native Alaskan student in their latest DSE entry, but ECU has 2.)

In case you didn't know.
