Welcome to the forums.

I think you can call your shot. I presume you grew up closer to Buffalo than NYC. Your list includes the in-states, and you have the metrics to shoot for an Ivy if you wanted (Penn, Harvard since you have Columbia). UMichigan is one of the most challenging programs to get into, but you might as well try. Keep your relationship with Buffalo though if you really want to go there.

Of your other choices, I don't know about UF and UMaryland for OOS. Now, you have the stats, so unless you articulate why you would attend those schools over Harvard or other in-state choices (which are likely cheaper options relatively speaking), they may screen you out for yield protection. Rutgers may also do the same. You could always add the other Boston schools (BU and Tufts). Check out UConn.

how did you come up with this list?

I want to stay closer to home/in state tuition in New York (so UB, Stonybrook, Columbia, Pitt, Rutgers, Michigan) are all in my area. I also love Florida, so I added Nova. But I don't really know where else I should apply with my stats/resume. What is your advice on my school list?

you get interview invites and acceptances from having mission fit with a school
"love florida" is not mission fit
you need to have a list with some reach schools, mostly in-range schools, and a couple safety schools
i would recommend closer, and cheaper privates than NOVA as safeties...

I agree... if you love Florida, I think LECOM's dental school in Florida would be cheaper in COA.

You also get interview invites and acceptances if the faculty think they would love to supervise you in the clinic. Kinda like when Gordon Ramsay decides you should be in his bootcamp at the start of his cooking competition shows (where the winner gets to be an executive chef at one of his restaurants).

There are no safety schools, but your best chance goes to the in-state schools and those within your region (150-mile radius).

You know UB very well, and I suspect they are comfortable with you. Nail the interview, and trust the process.
