ORM (White Male) Texas Resident. This is my DO list.

3.51cGPA and 3.53sGPA (I went to a liberal arts college with some hard non-stem classes)
3 MCATs 495 (2023) -> 502 (2023) -> 508 (2024)
Will have 3000 hrs as a research associate by matriculation. Will have 1 first author publication by matriculation.
~144 MD shadowing hours (4 specialties), only 8 DO shadowing hours (1 specialty), 30 Eshadowing hours
Hospice volunteer (100+ hours)
Small nonclinical volunteer opportunities here and there
Received a department award for my research poster presentation.

Please let me know if you have any recommendations about schools to add/drop

I am 🙂 Honestly, that is the goal, but I've always felt like my GPA might hold me back. Do you think my chances with OOS DO schools are good?

Just mentioning VCOM (all campuses) has stated a preference for Texas applicants as if they were "in-state."

You are competitive for all DO schools but MSUCOM has very high non resident tuition. You could add these schools:

ATSU-KCOM
DMU-COM
PCOM
Touro-NY
NYITCOM
