Soo, I already submitted my app for review to these schools in late June. I applied to schools that have a low chance of accepting OOS like Michigan/Arizona/Ohio, and I'm trying to increase my chances as best as I can. I can also list the DO schools I'm planning on applying to as well if that helps. Approximately a million thanks in advance for any help I can get, give or take!!

When did you previously apply?
Where did you apply?
Any interviews? Where? What were the Results? Waitlist/ rejected after interview?
What have you done to,significantly improve your application since the last time you applied?

I applied back in 2016 to these schools and only got waitlisted for a couple of schools for interviews. I didn't end up getting any interviews at all.

After that, I kept working in the lab and got a paper published in a journal. A year into that I decided I wanted more clinical understanding so I began scribing in the ED and tutored for the MCAT and SAT. I only recently began working at the suicide hotline early in 2019 because I wanted to get back into mental health advocacy and support mainly because I love it haha. I had a 512 on the MCAT before, retook it and got a 513 recently.

tl;dr I doubled my research hours and published a paper, have 1000 more clinical hours from scribing. MCAT ended up being a similar score. New LoR from PI and from a hospitalist I shadowed which should be strong.

As far as the essays, I've COMPLETELY rewritten my personal statement and I'm pre-writing some secondaries right now
