Hi all I am an ORM that went to a state public school. State is MA
GPA: 3.56 cGPA, 3.48 sGPA
(I graduated undergrad in 2021 with a cGPA and sGPA of about 3.7 and cum laude. However I recently found out that I have dual enrollment classes from 10th-12th grade on my college transcript that will count towards my amcas gpa even though I didn’t use them for my degree. I wasnt the best student in high school and had a 2.5gpa in these classes. This brings my cGPA down to a 3.56 and my sGPA down to a 3.48)
I did have an upward trend in college going from 3.5 freshman year, 3.6 sophmore year, 3.8 junior year, and 4.0 senior year.
MCAT: 514
Clinical Experience:
3800 medical assistant hours
300 hospital volunteering
Research:
700 hours in undergrad
2 poster presentations
1 mid author publication.
Shadowing:
150 hours Family Med
24 hours Nephrology
16 hours Internal Med
Nonclinical Volunteering:
150 hours with habitat for humanity
100 hours with local organization that helps make meals for the needy
70 hours big brother
Other Leadership:
320 hours YMCA camp counselor
150 hours president of club in college where we helped fundraise for sick children
What MD and DO schools should I target? Any shot schools overlook my DE classes?
