I don’t think you need DO based on your stats. But your ECs are all over the place. There doesn’t seem to be a theme in your activities. You do need in person shadowing-around. 50 hours. You also need more nonclinical volunteering focusing on the unserved/underserved in your community. And projected hours aren’t considered much by ADCOMS. Life happens and they may or may not get done. As far as your clinical experience what exactly do you do and what is the population? Where are you working? Med schools look for longevity in an activity. They like for an story of what/how these activities you have been doing brought you to medicine. If you need another gap year don’t worry. Lots of applicants have gap years. You really only want to apply one time with the best possible application. Good luck.

The Rutgers schools admit few non residents with no connection to the state. You could add any of these schools:
Drexel
Virginia Commonwealth
Eastern Virginia
Vermont
Oakland Beaumont
Western Michigan
Medical College Wisconsin
TCU-UNT

Welcome to the SDN Forums.

Is your scribing in-person? If so, your virtual shadowing won't be too problematic in my opinion.

What are the opportunities in non clinical community service you allude to?
