I just graduated in December from a relatively small university with a 3.96, sGPA: 3.98. Currently taking 1-2 gap years to work as a research assistant at a T20 and I should have about 4,000hrs and a few papers at the end. I currently have one third author pub. I also got some research experience in undergrad totaling to be about 1000 hours so I should be sitting at 5,000hrs at the time of my application in the 2023-2024 cycle.
Massively interested in rare diseases and cancer and I have worked/am working in a lab that deals with both. Hoping to bring clinical research to my home country.
African Male
Non-clinical volunteering hours: 100hrs
Clinical volunteering hours: started volunteering at a hospital so should be 200hrs at time of app
Shadowing: 6 hours at a hospital and 45 hours at a cardiologist's private practice
MCAT: 515 (129,125,132,129)
Leadership: 3000 hrs being the president of a diversity club, 500 hours being a peer mentor,
Work experience: Worked in academic support, library, and TA'd for a couple semesters
School list:
I know my list is top heavy but mostly top schools accept internationals like me, I have the FAP so I have only 20 free apps. Anyone to remove or add please. Greatly appreciate
