MD WAMC: 4.0 Engineer, Low ECs

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Clinical is the only thing that’s low. Everything else is fine. Hypothetical MCAT scores can back fire which is why we like seeing the real score, but it makes sense planning ahead. “First author,” in my opinion, is a little silly to put for a poster. To me that term is usually reserved for publications and articles, not a poster. Someone else will probably give you a school list.

No bets without an MCAT score. That clinical volunteering is going to be problematic.

Now the pharmacy tech experience could be helpful because it is patient-facing and you are supervised by a health care professional, and often pharmacists have to do advising to reinforce what physicians tell patients to do. You may want to check with admissions recruiters to see whether some of the tasks you did could fall under clinical employment or non-clinical.
