wamc - 9 IIs no As this MD cycle

I only applied to MD programs with mid stats/great activities and have been fortunate enough to receive 9 IIs but no As yet this cycle. Out of those 9, I have received 3 WLs, a few holds, and still waiting to hear back from the rest (some interviewed very recently, some way back in august, so hope is dwindling/starting to take it as a silent R). Have been continously sending letters of interest/updates. Hoping at least one turns into an A - WAMC?

ORM from NY with strong ties to MA - applied all over east coast + some midwest
GPA 4.0
MCAT low 51x
3500 clinical hours
2000 research hours (no pubs yet but few posters)
student government, multiple club e-boards, TA
400 hours volunteering + 500 hours social justice work
1 COVID IA - explained in AMCAS and on secondaries when asked
1 gap year currently working a clinical job

Starting to get really nervous !

The odds are extremely small that you would not receive an acceptance with 9 interviews. There is a lot of waitlist movement starting late April

Thank you for this reassurance! The no As right after interview has been filling me with so much self doubt, especially as some schools I interviewed at have low post ii As, others average, others high, etc. Grateful it is a good range though and taking the fact that receiving WL over post interview Rejection like others have at the same schools is a hopeful sign. Will try to keep my head high!

Just got waitlisted at my top school where I have heavy connections and starting to feel very discouraged and am losing hope. Is there anything that can be done besides letter of intent at this point? I sent 2 pre interview update letters already
