I’m currently a Senior at Texas A&M, I will graduate with a bachelors of Animal Science in May 2025 and this will also be my first cycle applying to vet school. I wanted to list some of my stats below (very brief descriptions), and see if y’all have any recommendations for me or words of encouragement. I really want to know how y’all think I am as an applicant.
-Overall Gpa 3.67, Science Gpa 3.5, Last 45 Gpa 3.7-3.8
-Small animal ER hours as a vet assistant 1300-1500 hours
-small animal non vet related honestly I don’t know this number but I’ve had animals my whole life so thousands
-large animal vet hours 15
-large animal non vet hours 300
- Study abroad in South Africa
-exotic vet hours 75
-internship at a safari
-equine internship
-equine ranch hand (job) 2 year
-mobile vaccine clinic (job) 6 months
-current job Vet Assistant 2 years & continuing
-pre-vet society member 3-4 semesters
- A&M choir member for 1 semester
-Founding member of a church and also working and volunteering there frequently.
-equine research for a summer
-High school all 4 years I did choir and volleyball.
-Currently a TA for an Animal Science course.
