WAMC (and school list advice) - Low GPA + High DAT

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
It's tough with the low science GPA, but you ought to get a little attention from your in-states and some of the privates.
How do you feel about my school list… Any schools you think I should add? I tried researching schools that looked for the last 30-60 science credits to highlight my upward trend. Thanks!

Hi,

I generally encourage you to think about what percentile your metrics lie versus what is listed in the ADEA Official Guide. However, I think there are a fair number of schools that will look at most-recent coursework but I'm not sure whether many of these schools would give you a shot as many are public and favor in-state applicants.

I do think your regional schools are your better bets, so reach out to MUSC (For sure), NOVA SE, Georgia, and UAB, provided they have admitted students similar to your academic history and profile (non-traditional students with strong last-60 hours). You can ask admissions recruiters about this.

Will do, thanks for the input. Appreciate it!
