I'd love some feedback on my school list! I tried to have a pretty fair spread of different tiered schools and I'm definitely gearing my apps towards primarily east coast big cities. Also, I'm not URM but LGBTQ+ which has tied into a lot of my advocacy work. Thanks!

cGPA: 3.88, sGPA: 3.8
MCAT: 518 (128, 130, 128, 132)

Undergrad: Pitt

Clinical Experience: 500 hours paid Medical Scribe position, ~100 hours volunteer medical Spanish interpretation with undocumented and migrant patients, 70 hours as Covid-19 screener.

Research Experience: 1300+ hours in translational neuroscience lab over 3 years, summer research fellowship, department-wide independent research poster presentation, on track for publication (probably 3rd author or later).

Physician Shadowing: ~40 hours across psychiatry specialties, ~40 ortho surgery, ~30 plastic surgery

Non-Clinical Volunteering: 180 hours as Crisis Text Line volunteer, ~60 hours of various volunteering opportunities through Pre-Medical fraternity including community outreach programs and caring for families of long-term care patients.

Other Extracurricular Activities: VP of large academic club, Advocacy Chair for pre-medical fraternity, Campus Advocate for sexual assault survivors organization, Peer Mentor for Honor's College freshmen.

Awards: Research fellowship, Full-tuition scholarship

School list: Mt. Sinai, Einstein, Cornell, Columbia, Jefferson, Temple, Pitt, Case Western, Ohio State, Cincinnati, Boston U, Tufts, UCLA, Kaiser, USC Keck, Northwestern, Georgetown, George Washington, Rush

LORs: At least 3/5 should be very strong as I have a close working relationship with 2 of the letter writers and a good friendship with one of my professors.

Strong application and pretty good list - I'd add a few more though.

I would add Toledo as you're from Ohio.

Also look into: Hofstra, Rochester, Miami, Emory.
