It would be criminal if you didn't get into a United States medical school. Just saying.

Your state school(s)
Yes, it's a long list. Your job is to cull it down, based upon your needs/interests.

Agree with Goro. When cutting down, remove more from the Duke, Stanford level schools. Brown likes to give preference to Ivy League grads and Baylor is on a separate app system, so leaving those two off could save you time.

1000 hours dedicated to founding a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
That's awesome. What are your plans to leave? What is it about your NPO that you think would appeal to the medical schools on your list? You aren't thinking about taking this NPO with you, are you?

Are you shooting for service-focused schools? Really check out @Goro's list, but think what it would be like for you (New Englander) to move to... Kansas (on your list),

I also believed Kansas was relatively OOS friendly when I looked at the MSAR data, but I am not sure. Would it still be okay to apply to Kansas?
It is not actually, but they likely do take some from neighboring states even if those applicants didn’t attend a Kansas undergrad. You already have good chances at MO schools though.
