I love the feedback everyone gives on these conversations and have been trying to find information catering to my application, but have struggled to find close matches.
Stats-
MCAT: 516,
Overall GPA: 3.72 (Upward trend)
Science GPA: 3.85
Caucasian
Research: Student-led research project for 1 year
Volunteering: ~600 hours basic medical/non-medical
Leadership: Lots of teaching and leadership experiences
Employment: Medical Lab Tech for about two years and previous customer service job experience before that for years.
Shadowing: ~100 hours
Also a student athlete for two years
Caveat: My undergrad will have taken me 7 years to complete because I didn't take my first year seriously and didn't know what classes to take or what I wanted to pursue completely. Also, transferring schools set me back pretty far and this last year I couldn't take certain classes that I needed to, so I only took a couple while studying for the MCAT. No need taking classes that I didn't need to graduate (no scholarship that year).
I'm trying to narrow down my list to about 20 schools. Are there any others I should consider or are blaringly obvious that I won't have a shot at? Thanks for your help ahead of time guys!
Where I sit above average:
George Washington
University of Utah School of Medicine (in-state)
