Does this list look ok? I am a traditional applicant but not really a tradional student. I have been married and a parent since my senior year of high school, so didnt really have a "traditional" college experience.

Honestly, I think you're being a bit conservative with your school list with those stats. A 3.76/31 makes you extremely competitive at any DO school in the country - I don't think you need that many on your application unless you really like the school or location. I think you also have room to be a little bit more adventurous with your MD list. Throw in a reach school or two; where have you always dreamed of going to medical school? Also, try throwing in some mid-tier private schools that you wouldn't mind attending. Use the MSAR to look for schools that accept a decent portion of OOS students and have stats ranges similar to yours. Overall, I think that come next summer you'll be preparing to enroll in medical school 🙂

Chances excellent at any DO program. Suggest omitting USUHS
unless you're truly committed to military medicine as a career. You can add Rosy Franklin, Temple, Jefferson and Drexel to the list.

Thanks goro,

I plan on the military, so USUHS is my top choice, if I don't get in there, I plan on doing HPSP.
