Unsure about where and how widely to apply. Should I focus on schools that really value research or does it matter. How widely outside California should I apply?

Yes I am a California resident. Bay area
Sgpa and CGPA are both about 3.9 including post bacc

Non clinical hours include tutoring, teaching youth programs, and volunteering at a shelter.

Clinical - I have volunteered at a hospital and have shadowed a pathologist and orthopedic surgeon

I am currently a medical researcher at a R1 institute in California.

I know my skillset leans heavily to towards research schools

Thank you so much. There are a few schools on your list that I didn't think of.

How come a school Stanford is not on the list?

My only concern with schools like Kaiser though is my background is research oriented. It's what I do currently and I want to become a Md so I can become a physician scientist.

You could add Stanford.
