TLDR I am currently in PA school & want to go to Med school when I graduate.

Q's:
  • I have considered studying for the MCAT when I graduate from PA school in March and applying after I take it. The goal would be not to miss the cycle for 2026-2027.
    • Can I apply with the 3 pre-recs "in-progress"?
    • Could I study for & take the MCAT without the prerequisites?
  • If I don't get in anywhere my first year (which I understand is a real possibility), does it look bad to apply twice?
  • Is being a PA graduate going to help me or hurt me during the application process?

You may want to check out Accelerated Physician Assistant Pathway | (LECOM) . It would be an option after you complete your PA training (and maybe work for a while).
Do you think that is realistically my only chance? I know the Greensburg Campus holds 12 seats for PAs, but I was hoping to stay in the Southeast. The longest I would like to work after graduation is a year, as I take the missing pre-recs. Does this seem like an unrealistic goal with my stats?

I'll also refer you to a post from an older thread:
