there is no "indiana state" dental school

how did you come up with this list?

*IU. Trying to stay close to family and I have not used my GI bill yet. The GI bill will go further at public schools.

you need to have mission fit to get interview invites and acceptances
"stay close to family" and "GI bill will go further at public schools" is not mission fit
your GPA is awesome, but as you know, a 20 DAT is just below the average (20.5), so it may hurt you at publics
hopefully, the fact that the rest of your app looks really good will make up some
do any schools have a relationship with wisconsin?

Understood, I'll examine mission statements and adjust the list as needed. As far as I know Minnesota is the only out of state school that has a preference for Wisconsin applicants. Thanks for the advise.

your chances at minnesota are the best
uu and colorado don't make as much sense geographically
your list should consist of a couple reach schools, mostly in-range schools, and a few safety schools...

creighton would be a better fit for your list than the 2 mountain schools
more midwest and one of the cheaper private schools

look beyond the mission statements, because every school has to say something similar
look at the programs they offer (what they do, not what they say)
also look at oos %, especially to see if they have accepted wisconsin residents in the past...

I agree... at some point the mission statement will all sound the same except for a commitment to specific regions or states.

How would you describe your mission as a dentist? You express preferences for staying close to family or to a region. But why do you think dentistry is your role to help others?
