With a 516 MCAT and a 4.0 post-bacc, why would OP need to apply so “low”?

I plan on applying to 10 DO schools at the least.

Minimal non clinical volunteering and research hours and sGPA and cGPA less than 3.6 . GPA-MCAT grid indicates a 65% chance for a MD acceptance. 35% receive NO MD acceptance.

What would be a good amount of non-clinical volunteering hours?

150 is the rule here. If you can do 4 hours a week every other week are the same place until application then you are GTG

Get another 100-150 hours of nonclinical volunteering and you might have a shot at mid-tier MDs. @Goro has a list of schools that reward reinvention.

. I can't recommend Touro-NY, Nova, Wm Carey, LUCOM, for different reasons. MSUCOM? Read up on Larry Nasser and you decide. LMU has an accreditation warning, which concerns me. CalHS is too new and has a too small a rotations base, it seems.
