Would love some help assessing my list or any recommendations for additions or removals. Hard for me to assess what are my "target/reach/safety" schools based on my stats.

  • GPA (this is what throws me off in knowing where to apply):
    • overall: 3.64
    • undergrad: 3.51
    • post-bacc: 4.0
    • sGPA: 3.69
  • MCAT: 521 (129/131/131/130)

  • State of Residence: OR (from CA originally, hence CA schools on list)
  • URM: No
  • Research Experience: ~100 in undergrad, not medical-related
  • Clinical Volunteering: 360+ hours (hospital; COVID-related; community clinic)
  • Physician Shadowing: 120+ shadowing in 3 different places
  • Employment History: Lots. Been working full time at non-profits for a few years since college. Also had a few jobs in college. Plenty of leadership roles, responsibility, etc. in my work experience.
My current school list is heavily targeted to schools in bigger cities, as I'm focused on locations where my partner would be willing to move (and where I also want to be).
  • Medical School List so far:
    UCLA
    UCSF
    USC
    OHSU
    UCSD
    Stanford
    UC Irvine
    NYU Grossman
    Boston University
    Tufts
    UW
    Albert Einstein College of Medicine
    SUNY Downstate
    Georgetown
    Icahn at Mount Sinai
    University of Colorado
    Weill Cornell
    Rush Medical
    Temple
    Jefferson
    Brown
    University of Michigan
    GW
    UVA
    VCU

Remove U Washington since they accept less than 1% of applicants who are not from the states they are contracted with (Oregon is not one).
You could add these schools:
Miami
USF Morsani
Pittsburgh
Rochester
Case Western
Cincinnati
Ohio State
Hofstra
Dartmouth
Tulane
St. Louis
