Background
-ORM, mid 30s
-RN for 10+ years (with a lot of time in an uncommon specialty that tends to be a big talking point)
-TX Resident (born and raised and finally back but lived out of state for several years d/t spouse's job)

Academics
-Messed up my initial BS from a T25 school
-Cumulative stats: cGPA 3.3, sGPA 3.05 (includes ALL courses ever taken, 313 hours overall, 89 BCPM)
-Post-bacc only stats: cGPA 3.89, sGPA 4.0 (includes BSN plus DIY science heavy post bacc, 172 hours overall, 74 hours BCPM)
-MCAT soon. I know this is a really important with my GPA history but I wanted to post now since I have some rough predictions. Started with a 505 on my diagnostic, now up to a 508 on most recent FL. Confident I can clear 510 by test day, but goal is 515. Have a couple other test dates I can push back to if my FLs aren't higher by testing.
-Did a semester of NP school years ago. Withdrew because I wasn't passionate about it and I knew it wouldn't make me happy. It just felt like the next step I was "supposed" to take. Decided to pursue medical school instead.

ECs
-Hundreds of volunteer hours that span back to initial undergrad. I don't know how far back to count for my application being a non-trad because I could go pretty far back. Non-clinical includes things like CASA volunteer, Girl Scouts, local school district. Concerned these don't fit with some of the "suggested" categories like food distribution, shelter, transportation, etc.
-Clinical volunteer experience includes direct pt care of unhoused population out in the field as well as local clinic for uninsured. Still actively volunteering.
-Paid clinical experience ridiculous since I've been a full time RN for so long. Probably 20,000 hours? Preceptor, charge nurse, several nursing-related awards/honors. Typical nurse alphabet soup after my name but probably not relevant for my application?
-200ish research hours at large teaching hospital (I'm worried this is too low)
-200ish shadowing hours from several different specialties and ages (inpatient, outpatient, OR, primary care). More planned post MCAT.

Planned Applications (Yes I know there are a few reaches on here)
UT Austin/Dell
UTHSCSA
TTUHSC - Lubbock
Texas A&M
UTMB
UT Southwestern
UT Health Houston
UT Tyler
TCOM
UIW
Univ of Colorado
UC Davis (ties to area)
I would love more OOS recommendations. I plan on applying to at least 20 schools.

It is not possible to give you an accurate school list without an actual MCAT score. Post your score here when available. You should be competitive for most DO schools with a MCAT of 505+.

Give us a chronology of these activities with hours. BTW, CASA can count as service orientation activity to me, plus few students get deeply involved.
