While it isn't a red flag, your sGPA is low, and likely too low for Roseman or publics on your list. I don't know what you did with 5K volunteering, a DA AND nursing home volunteer; don't be sloppy and itemize your hours.

Thank you for feedback! Should I still apply to them, or just take a post bacc? My plan b is to do a masters or a post bacc. Are my red flags a huge deciding factor and will they get me autorejected? My volunteer hours are as follows: 2k DA clinic, 2k Nursing home and 1k animal shelters. This has spanned across 5 years right after high school graduation.

What overlap is there with your DA employment? What were your responsibilities?

I don't know if you will get automatically rejected offhand. It depends on your whole application, including fine motor dexterity (still missing from your profile), distance traveled, and mission fit. Mission fit is not obvious from what you have disclosed.

What courses are left for a DIY postbac? Have you take with admissions teams in Texas, through TMDSAS webonars, etc.?

ends on yo
I was a pediatric DA for surgical. My motor dexterity I do a lot of painting and crocheting in my free time. My mission fit would most likely align with community service-based schools. I have not yet talked to texas based schools but I plan on it. I'm currently taking a gap then applying next cycle. As for DIY postbac, I have all my prereqs so unsure.

Take the time to get feedback before applying. Texas tuition is much lower than OOS. Let them tell you if a postbac is better than SMP, or if you need more community service to back your alignment with service-oriented missions over specializing along with research.

thank you! as for the retakes, in your opinion how much has that messed my application up? that’s my biggest worry as of right now. would it be appropriate to email the texas admissions with my questions or rather in person.

what is your last 2 years gpa?
were there science classes in the last year with 4.0?
hi! sorry i haven’t replied to your other comment yet. i’m not at home at the moment to get the rest of my scores from my paper but my last 5 sem gpa (took extra sem) was 4.0. the reason it’s so low is due to retakes

When you get home, we need full details. If you go to an admissions office this unprepared, you will leave a very bad impression that will damage your chances. Address all the above concerns.

As for dental assisting it was a part time position during school year working in surgical. I assisted in restorations with children with special needs.

My last 5 sem have been a 4.0

im unsure what distance traveled means but i did attend oos undergrad

please let me know if there’s anything im missing
